We were running out of wood on Saturday night so a few of us went on a wood hunt which consisted of going to the next door camp and saying 'can we please borrow or just nick some of your wood?'. As we collected our half-burnt wood a massive explosion followed by 'arrgh you burnt my tent' came from next door and turning we could see the ground littered with red embers as they were exploding deoderant cans. So we hung around the exploding deoderant can uni-boys for a bit and they were desperately trying to get a mate of my bros to give them his deoderant can whining his name whenever he appeared. Went to sleep at about 2ish I guess, Sunday would not be too busy a day as it was the metally day and not really my stuff.

Sunday kicked off with some really heavy thrashy bands but as my bro and I wanted a lift home that evening rather than fork out loads of train money, we had to meet our parents that morning to give them our stuff. That dealt with we hung around the camp before Hundred Reasons came on around 2-ish. Hundred Reasons again were great, and kickstarted a mini obsession for the day when the vocalist decided that 'it would be really cool if you know you could make a human pyramid for us out there. It's a lost art form it is'. So people did, climbed on top of each other in the mosh. Even in a violent Incubus mosh someone managed a three-tier human pyramid!

Hundred Reasons   Theres an ickle pyramid in the corner where it says 'Reading' in yellow. Kinda looks like someone standing/floating on the mosh

I really really wanted to see Reel Big Fish on the Sunday. Before then I saw the signing tent after toying with the idea of queuing for two hours to get the siggies of Muse which would have meant missing NOFX I think... I decided against it and ran into the Evening Session to see RBF. So much fun, had a cool time dancing and singing along to their set and one of my favourite sets. I managed to catch the middle-end of NOFX and they were hilarious. Good music and really good crowd interaction too. I wish I could remember some of the stuff they said... Anyway, Slipknot followed so my brother, his friend and I stood far back, arms crossed watching the first 10 mins or so very critical of their 'performance' and then after some food for the two boys (the rip-off 4 for chicken nuggets and chips food) we went shopping. I got myself a black net top to go with a long-sleeved slate-gray coloured tie-dye (phew) top I had bought earlier. A cool bracelet, earrings and a swirly silver ring, oh and also a line-up poster and some badges for my bag. Spent loads but there were so many funky market stalls to buy from!. My bro got himself a couple of posters, a green army shirt for 3 (cheaper than his lunch!) and an official Feeder t-shirt. Incubus were due then (woohoo) so toodled off into the mosh to see them for my third time. It wasn't as impressive as the astounding Wembley Arena gig, but good nonetheless. Brandon got shirtless again ^-^ and more pyramids were made.

ehehehehe

The last two acts of the evening were the Offspring and the Prodigy. Watched all of the Offpsring, kinda far back from the stage (meh) and was informed by another friend who went independently from me that I missed the best act of the weekend, The Music, who were playing on the Carling Stage. Oh darn! Offspring were fun anyway, they kinda made us sing this really weird thing and told us it'd be on their new album....we'll see.....I only saw about half of the Prodigy but the bit I did catch was damn good. Singing (?) along to Breathe and dancing like a mad fool in my own little bit (on my own AGAIN) midway back. But then at about 11ish i went to find my brother and parents, completely knackered having had a really great time and one of the best weekends of my life ^-^. We nattered endlessly on the way home on who our favourites were, spent another fiver on an unofficial line-up t-shirt and just crashed out when I got home after a well-deserved shower!
