In the spring of 2004, Peter Wisdom, ex-Excalibur member and ex-spy, was contacted once more by British Intelligence.  Wary of the direction of events in America, the United Kingdom wanted to keep itself secure from any attack and secure from such a fate happening on their soils.  They asked Pete to form and lead a European task force, similar to Excalibur, to prevent this from happening.  Never one for flashy codenames, Pete decided to call it quite simply MI-X.
Along with a handful of high-ups in Brit Intel, Pete poured through the documents of mutants and non-mutants alike, looking to form a perfect team.
Their first choice was Kali, an Indian woman who was ruling an elite and secret group of theifs, the Thugs, at the time.  Kali's powers of two extra arms and fear manipulation coupled with her amazingly swift healing factor, made her too important of a candidate to pass over.  She became something of a den mother, trying to nurse the distraught Pete back into soberity.
Swedish Red Bixby was an obvious choice.  Red's amazing mutant capablity included limited telepathic ability coupled with a perfect photographic memory.  Red is better than any survileance camera; she is able to memorize every word of dialouge, every detail of her surrondings.  With her telepathic abilites, she is able to transmit these images to her allies or through a Cerebro-like device, a video screen for close analysis.  This ability makes Red a perfect spy.
The next chosen was German William Griffith, a skilled medical doctor as well as a man with heightened strength.  His alias of Bullet perfectly sums up what he can do: in his hands, any object can have the devasting effect of a bullet.  Even a blade of grass can be used as a weapon when thrown with Will's accelerated strength.
The first baseline human choice was Hugh Brady, a celebrity in his native Ireland.  Hugh is the ancestor of a powerful Druid and is in possesion of the largest library of magik texts.  With his genius IQ, he has memorized nearly all of his books and is a very powerful practicer of magik.
The next choice was always a baseline human, Italian Cloe Olivia.  Dr. Olivia had made quite a name for herself as one of the most brilliant minds in foresnic psychology, writing papers and working thousands of cases with her knowledge of the criminal mind.  With her years of working for different government intelligent angencies, Cloe compliments the team nicely.
The second Brit on the team was Kent Fallon, a mutant with the power of sponteneous regeneration.  Whenever a body part was somehow removed from him, his body instanly regenerates it, but with defenses that would prevent any similar injury.  The improved body part only lasts for six hours before it reverts back to normal but this mutant ability basically makes Kent invulnerable.
