Physical Description:  Kitty has a very understated, natural beauty which she
herself does not often see.  Kitty grew up surronded by other X-women who had voluptous, curvy bodies, and Kitty in turn felt she had a 'boyish' figure.  However, her small lithe frame is actually very feminine, as her all of Kitty's graceful movements.

Strength Level:  Kitty has a slightly higher strength level than most women her age and stature.  Ever since joining the X-Men at the age of 13, Kitty has made sure that she keeps her body in top physical condition and works out strenously.  Her expert knowledge on ninja fighting all combine to make her a powerful fighter.
Known Superhuman Powers:  Orginally, Kitty was tangible and had the ability to phase, or make herself intangible so she can pass through objects and people.  However, now Kitty's natural state is that of an intangible one and she must be concious to remain tangible.  While is she phased, Kitty can disrupt electrical systems and is honing her skills so that eventually she will be able to disrupt the nervous system of human beings, since they are electrical in nature.  Kitty can airwalk, and when phased, she remains on a specifice spot so that the world continues turning underneath her.  With this power, Kitty is able to fly.

Personality:  At heart, she has always been an optomist,
increasingly realistic about the world around her, but a romantic nevertheless.
Kitty fights for the greater good, fights because someone must, fights because she has to and, more importantly, she fights because she enjoys it.  Its her way of dealing with her mean streak in a productive way.  Although she has never been cold or distant, Kitty has always had a hard time in social circles, particulary with people her own age.  She's far more comfortable in the presence of her seniors, probably due to her genius IQ.  While Kitty is quite proud of her acomplishments such as speaking four languages, piloting a jet plan and just basically kicking ass, she has never been completly confident in more personal aspects.  Growing up with beautiful women and goregous men who wanted the beautiful women and not Kitty was definetly something that caused the young woman to have very low self-esteem.  After meeting Pete Wisdom, Kitty's life changed as she gained more self-confidence from the man.

Brief History:  After leaving Excalibur and Pete, Kitty returned to the X-Men.  After a few years, Xavier asked Kitty to lead the newest incarnation of the X-Men and she agreed, although a bit hesitant at first.  She eventually became a successful leader of the X-Men, but not before having a sort or reunion with ex-boyfriend Pete Wisdom.  The two slept together for a final time despite the fact that Piotr Rasputin, an ex boyfriend himself, was courting the young woman.  Weeks later, Kitty discovered she was pregnant and Hank McCoy and Charles Xavier revealed the baby to be Piotr's.  Therefore, Piotr and Kitty married and had their daughter Lilith, nicknamed Lilly.  Kitty resigned as field leader but still was considered the head of the X-Men that Piotr remained an active member of.  Upon the discovery of Lilly's mutant power to generate fire at a very young age, Piotr took this as a sign that Lilly was not
his, but Pete Wisdom's, and went to Xavier to confront him on this.  However, he never made it back as he was swept up into battle and shot in the back.  Rachel Summers, using her psi abilties later learned that Piotr's true cause of death was a blot clot in the brain that she believed to be caused by Xavier himself.  Lashing out with anger, the Phoenix killed him and it was Kitty who discovered the body.  Now an orphan, a widowed single mother and a disillusioned young woman, Kitty is left with her beloved daughter Lilly to find her way in the world.
