| A brief history of the Highland Lynx | ||||||
| Our cats come from Timberline bloodlines . Joe Childers developed the breed by crossing two existing breeds ( the desert lynx and jungle curls) .They are bobcat looking cats with exotic markings.Outcrosses to the jungle curls were made specifically to add the unique curled ears to the cats. | Bobcats range in size from 15 to 50 LBS . Highland Lynx are not as large as the average bobcat .Most Highland Lynx males will weigh between 15 and 20 lbs.Females are generally smaller.Highland Lynx Males are generally larger than regular cats and have larger bobcat looking heads.Highland Lynx come in three coat patterns --- tawny (ticked),leopard (spotted), and clouded leopard. | ||||||
