Help Grace Lutheran Finish the Building of the Church! "I
know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity.
All these things have I given willingly and with honest intent. And
now have given to you. O Lord, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and
Israel, keep this desire in the hearts of your people forever, and
keep their hearts loyal to you." Salutaion: It has been said that we stand on the shores of tomorrow. This is true of Grace Lutheran Church in Gridley, California. Grace has been blessed by the Lord for over 40 years of ministry in this predominately Mormon community. Gridley is a small farming community with a very large Mexican and East Indian (Hindu) population. The harvest field is ripe and the nonchristian people are open to the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus. A new location has been secured and a new santuary has been built. Adults and children are being brought into the faith through instruction and Baptism. The rural congregation of Grace is typical in that it is mostly older and small in number. Yet the Lord has seen fit to call Grace into a new century of outreach and ministry. A Hispanic ministry has begun and the roots are being set. The Hindus have been reached through Vacation Bible School activities, and the Mormans have attended Vacation Bible School, Christmas and after school programs. But We need your partnership in completing the construction of the education wind. This will allow for the continued growth in Christian eductation, human care ministries, and after school children programs in this non-Christian harvest field. If you, your congregation or organization would like to be part of the rebirth of a small, older, rural congregation, we invite you to join with us in funding the completion of the new facility. Your gift will be greatly appreciated and add to the success of the Great Commission to the unchurched, Mexican, Hindu, and Morman population in this farming area of Norther California. Our goal for right now is to earn somewhere between $35,000 to $40,000 to complete this facility.
