Terms and Conditions
for Using the Glide Community Center


•     The building will be available at no extra charge an hour before the event for setting up and an hour after the
       event for cleaning, unless otherwise arranged.
•     Keys for buildings and sound system must be signed out and in. Payment of rental charges will be required
       to sign out keys.
•     Renters must be over the age of 18. Any event with minors must be chaperoned by adults over 18 years
      old throughout the event. Adults must remain after event ends to certify cleanup.
•     Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the premises nor bought, sold, served, or consumed in the
      Community Center, Annex or its premises.
•     The Community Center and Annex are smoke-free facilities. Smoking is permitted outside the buildings.
       The ashtrays provided must be used.
•     If a renter plans to have food and/or drink for sale, the renter must obtain and display a Health Permit from
       the Douglas County Health Department.
•     All fire exits must remain clear and unobstructed at all times.
•     The number of people in the building must not exceed 233, which is the fire marshal’s maximum capacity.
•     No property shall be removed from the building.
•     Keep doors closed when using heat. Hit “run program” on thermostat upon departure.
•     Lift – DO NOT SLIDE – heavy objects, tables, and chairs to prevent scratching floors.
•     Do not put nails or tacks in walls. Instead use available picture wire or tape.
•     Do not touch the switch box in entry for any reason! Tampering with it may cause damages for which you
      will be held responsible.
•     The kitchen steam table is the property of Glide Senior Services. Use by permission only. Contact Senior
      Services Director at 496-3433.
•     Full payment of rental charge is required before receiving key(s). Cancellation of this contract before the
       rental date may result in forfeiting deposit.
•     The renter shall be liable for the costs of any damage, replacement of property, or required cleaning
       resulting from the rental. The deposit will be used to pay for these costs If these costs exceed the amount
      of the deposit, the renter shall be charged the difference.
•     Do not move the big screen TV.
