Rob McCarthy who used to mechanic for Mike Shirley and in fact still works with Mike at V W Hicks, and Mark Hodder. Both have been with Gary for a long time and were joined more recently by Wolston villager Jim Wallace who asked Gary if he could help out. Margaret, Gary's mum, is Team Manager and gives enormous support and encouragement to keep Gary on track. Their a great team, and they have got great faith in me, Gary said, when I phoned home to tell them I was Australian Open Champion. My mum's reaction was "You must be joking." The recant addition to the team is Nigel Swales, who helped build the current car with Andy Turner (488) and also has mechanic for a few other drivers.

Ok, I know you all know who Gary is, but his is just part of the big team! He is the one who gets the knocks and bumps, and probably get the most enjoyment out of it, but he also has to put the most money in!

Nigel has been around the pits a lot, Mechanic for Ministox and then for low graders. Oh his cv of drivers he has been a mechanic for Stevie (201) and Kev (131) Toon, Neil Shenton (35), Andy Powell (493), Andy Turner (488), Richard Johnson (78), Graham Moulds (56), Chris Fort (213 both in V8's and F.1's) and both Wainmans (212 Senior and Junior 515).
