| A True Zuper by John David Brown January 24, 2005 "Be a Zuper," my teacher proclaimed, But from that statement, nothing was gained. For what a zuper was, I knew not, That lesson I was soon to be taught. "Would you mind telling me, what's a Zuper? If you would, that'd be super." "Why, certainly!" he said, flashing a smile. And then we talked for the longest while. "A Zuper is a boy or girl Who is out to tackle the world. They let nothing get in their way, They're out to sieze the day." "They're just as sly as a fox, They always think outside of the box. And to complain or gripe or pout, The very idea is simply out!" "They always help their fellow man And do for him all they can. They're goal is to live life to it's peak And their dream they'll always seek." I saw a gleam in my teacher's eye. As he gave his explanation with pride. There were now two things I wanted to do Become a Zuper, and a teacher too! |
