| Name: Sergei Rebrov Place of Birth: Gorlovka, Ukraine Date of Birth: 03/07/74 Height: 5 ft 10in Maxtheyid rating: Brilliant little striker who is not given the credit he deserves. Hardly gets a chance to impress although in my opinion he is one of the best strikers in the league. Sergei is a nippy stiker with good pace and excellent awareness. Many people are not aware of ther fact that Rebrov is the Champions League all time top scorer with 24 goals, although due to lack of participation he is soon to be de-throned. Rebrov is one of my favorite players for Spurs because he oozes class when given a chance and shows his class. Unfortunately his confidence has been shot to bits by a number of things and he is struggling to retain his place. It now looks as if Sergei will be moving on in the summer to another top side in Europe. I wish him well in whatever he decides to do because he is a class player and a good bloke, I'm sure he will go on to play at the highest level in years to come. Whether this is at the Lane or another club is yet to be seen. Maxtheyid's Favorite Rebrov Moment: His two excellent goals vs West Ham in the FA cup. His first was an absolute peach of a volley that single handedly shut his critics up and proved that he is a class player. His second was a well taken one on one where Sergei showed excellent control before slotting cooly past David James. I will miss him at Spurs if he decides to leave as I would like to see him in our first team. |
