Signed along with Simon Davies from Peterborough for �700,000. Etherington has had a limited chance in the first team although he has been on loan to Bradford and impressed so much that they made an audatious bid to sign him. Matt looks like a quality player and opposition defenders are put under pressure by his willingness to run with the ball. His spell at Spurs has been over-shadowed by Davies' explosive start but he has been quietly making an impact and scored against Bolton in the FA cup. If Ethers is willing to wait for his chance I'm sure he will develop into a quality players with a lot to offer the first team.
