Excellent young Welshman who joined along with Matty Etherington from Peterborough. Davies has already been labelled as 'The new Ryan Giggs' by pundits and fans across the country because of his ability to make the Premierships top defenders look foolish. When George Graham was in charge he described Davies as 'one of the best finishers at the club', his numerous goals since the comment have added weight to this claim. Our current boss Glenn Hoddle described him as 'A Tottenham type player', and must surely have been impressed with the youngsters mazy runs and cool finishes, having been the ultinmate master of these arts himself. Simon Davies is a very highly rated young player, and the fact that he is still understimated by the media gives you an idea of what this man can achieve.

Maxtheyid's Favorite Davies Moment:
His cool finish to finally ease nerves against Chelsea in the Semi Final of the Worthington Cup. At 3-0 I was still nervous but Simon Davies beautifully contolled a cross field pass by Anderton and drove the ball low past Cudicini in the Chelsea goal. This paved the way for a memorable 5-1 hammering of Chelsea and is currently the finest performance I have ever seen Tottenham produce. Simon Davies has already won my support with his goal against Chelsea, along with his consistantly impressive performances.
