| Name: Steven Carr Place of Birth: Dublin Date of Birth: 29/08/76 Height: 5 ft 9in Maxtheyid rating: Superb Right back who has established himslf as one of the best right sided defenders in the world. His ability to bomb down the wing and whip dangerous balls in to the box has attracted interest from Man Utd, Ars*nal and Barcelona. The fact that made his debut as a 16 year old and won the club's player of the year award in the year 2000 only adds to his already highly impressive resume. Unfortunately he has been out for a considerable amount of time through injury but is very close to a return, which is a massive boost. Carr will fit perfectly into Hoddle's 3-5-2 formation as a right wing back, allowing him to get forward more and take players on. Can pass, shoot, tackle and read the game, making him one of Tottenham's most valuable assets. Hopefully he has learned from Scumbell's mistakes and will turn down a move to Ars*nal. Maxtheyid's Favorite Carr Moment: His screaming 30 yard thunderbolt against Man Utd in 1999 when we did them 3-1. the game was turning a bit nasty and when Stevie Carr picked the ball up in his own half none of the Utd players showed him the respect he deserves by closing him down, and they payed the price. He ran about 20 yards before unleashing an unstoppable drive past the keeper. The goal was made all the more sweet by the fact that Mark Bosnich was in goal for Utd, who had knocked our star striker Klinsmann out when he was in goal for Villa. Not content with physical abuse, Bosnich made Hitler gestures to the Tottenham fans, mocking the fact that many of the fan's Jewish ancestors had been killed during the war. Stevie Carr's rocket was the perfect tonic to shut the scumbag up. This goal alone boosted his popularity no end! |
