Dear Mr. Jemal:

We are writing to thank you for replacing the trees on the Glenn Dale Business Campus on Northern Avenue in Glenn Dale. The original trees were cut down from an area bordering Northern Avenue that was protected by Conceptual Site Plan 4-02002 and by covenants held by neighbors on Northern Avenue.

We appreciate the fact that your contractor, Joyce Engineering Co., stopped cutting trees when they were informed of the mistake and that Douglas Development was prompt in restoring the disruption to the landscape.

After several meetings with Paul Millstein, your representative, we arranged a replacement and maintenance plan that was acceptable to the Citizens’ Association and the adjoining property owners. The tree restoration provides an important buffer for the residential properties across Northern Avenue and is essential to the quality of the environment both for the residences and the businesses.

We greatly appreciate your help in this matter.
