Q: Who is Michael Glenn, really?
Uh, uh, uh. Not so fast, bub. Michael has built his career on anonymity, and he certainly won't answer a question like, if he did he would have to kill you. Try again.
Q: OK. So where does Michael come from?
The answer to that question remains somewhat oblique, even to Michael. Suffice to say that he was apparently born somewhere in Iowa before being abandoned in a empty bass bin.
Raised with the Nelson twins, Michael grew-up on a diet of mystic literature, overamplified rock 'n' roll music, and petty crime.
A life of stocking hair products for the Nelson tours was only lightened by weekly visits to Las Vegas where Michael was used as a 'human paintbrush' by the Blue Man Group for two shows a day.
Before long, his youthful hijinks raised the ire of the local authorities. Michael was remanded him to the custody of a rebel group of highly technical Amish. Spiritually scrubbed and philosophically regenerated, the newly whiskered Michael was now ready to battle the good fight, for truth, justice and the pro-audio way.
Q: But how did Michael become such a universally acclaimed figure in the Pro-Audio industry?
He is still trying to figure that out, as he has never been acclaimed before.
While pursuing his doctorate in "cooling beverage" philosophy at Thornton Community College's P.E. department. Michael found himself desperately in need of PA system that could handle the serious demands of background music.
Through a series of misunderstandings, Michael found himself in possession of a Shure Vocal Master PA; this unique system had been painted OSHA Orange. While the spiffy sound system did absolutely nothing to advance his career, Michael was soon infected by the charms of Versachi-clad entrepreneurs, hanging out with sullen musicians, incompetant party planners, and shady bubble machine vendors. To balance out his life experiences Michael retreats to the comfort of a group of very conservative, God fearing Christians, who just happen to also be one KICK ASS country band by the name of North-40. Michael, (A.K.A. Thurst'n LOVE) plays lead guitar with this award winning group. N-40 really does KICK ASS, lead vocalist Mike Powell has won many awards!Q: How does Michael keep on the leading edge of pro-audio technology?
Some times people (mostly questionable types) email him, and other times from memos dug out of industry trashcans. Many hours are spent just sitting in the dark, planning his next move.
