My Reflection

 

The word reflection can refer to several different concepts:

• In mathematics, reflection is the transformation of a space.
• In physics, reflection is a wave phenomenon.
• In computer science, reflection is a programming language feature for metaprogramming, in languages or language engines like Java and .NET.
• In electricity, reflection is reflected voltage in an electrical signal due to an impedance change.
• In music, Reflection is a 1998 album by Paradise Lost.
• In art, "Reflection", also called "Parasight", is an art installation by Shane Cooper.
• Reflection is an online game developed by Free Fall Associates.
• In psychology, reflection is a process of thoughtful meditation or rumination: see introspection.
• A reflection is one's image as seen in a mirror.

 

In this class I expected to be bored out of my mind. Instead I looked forward to class. We have had a diverse group of students with an even more diverse set of opinions. There’s the pretty girl, the talkitive girl, the computer whiz, the manly brut, the Christian, the mothers, the stubborn, and me, who fits somewhere and nowhere in these.

Instead of a monotone teacher blowing smoke up our, well anyway, we got a friendly, easy go lucky, and as he states “average” kind of guy! If you missed that “average” day then I am so sorry. I couldn’t wait to go home, whisper a few things into my husband’s ear and break out the tape measure!

I sat with Alan and Cathy. Alan, as most of you know is one of the smartest guys around. Just ask him what he has never done and he’ll have to sit there for a few minutes to come up with something worth while. Cathy, is a talker, and she talks a lot. Haha. But her heart is in the best of places and I am going to miss her.

I think the only time I really spoke up was with the “Gay” talk. I think gay guys are the best! Well anyway I enjoyed battling back and forth with Brooke. She is so sweet and pretty darned smart. I was raised in a very strict house, so I love to argue the death out of sinly topics. I know, shame on me.

I realized in this class, that although I am not obese, I am overweight. But as that isn’t impossible to fix, if I go on Mr. Wozny’s food budget as I call it. Take in less that you burn. How simple is that? I’ll get right on that tomorrow.

Growing up when I asked “why?” my father told me “The story of the big blue whale”, which ends in “It is because it is”. I am now not satisfied with that concept and want to know why things are the way they are, because as we have come to find out, there really is a reason. So dig deeper!

This class pulled together, strangers and friends alike and helped each other share ideas and the like for building our websites. So I thank you all for a glorious last semester, it sure beat the other six or seven all to pieces. Have a great life all of you!
