This year Shane has taken on a different role from past seasons. he's noted for his deadly three - point shooting, crafty ball handling and playmaking ability, but this season has sacrificed shots and even playing for the good of the team. he is a fierce competitor whose toughness and deep desire to win.Shane ranks second on the team in assists with 3.4 per outing while chipping in with 5.4 points. He is shooting an excellent 35 percent from behind the arc.

Played a few seasons ago with the Gleneagle Lakers.Scored 34 points in the 2003-2004 league match against Burgerking Limerick.(Now Limerick Lions). Went to Colgate University in America. He is a great solid scorer and we are happy to welcome him back under new coach Cormac O'Donoghue. He also did some coaching when he retuned to america.

One of the most important factors that separate good teams from okay teams and great teams from good teams is bench play. Over the last few games, Clarke has come into the game and stepped up with big shots and key assists to energise the Lakers. Clarke has been an important leader for the Lakers.
