('') Glendruid Legend of Glendruid Welcome to What Is Glendruid. Ancient Place You've been led between trees that grow older and more magnificent the deeper into the grove you penetrate. Standing stones taller and thicker than a mighty warrior loom without warning between the trees. The stones have been in place so long that they wear thick robes of moss and lichen, as though tiny gardens have been planted in rocky hollows no deeper than a fingers width. After three hundred feet, more stones loom. These are half a man's height and set so close together that no trees grow between. After the second ring of stones comes a circle of grass seventy feet across. In the center of the circle is a large overgrown mound of earth and rock. Here is a sanctuary within this concentic ring of stones tha isn't meant to be disturbed heedlessly. You have entered into a place of peace and protection. There is sunlight and grass in the widening spaces between oaks. Wildflowers sing their silence, colorful songs everywhere you look. The are more fully leafed out here, as though the sun comes sooner and stays longer in this one spot. The peace of a thousand years has pooled here to be drunk by those wise enough to slip between standing stones to the sunlit mound. Enter into Ancient Ring of Peace. A place where beauty, mysticism and wonder all converge in the center of an ancient ring of stones. A place where, when true love meets in the center, the sacred Rowan tree blooms. The Legacy of the Glendruid Woman Glendruid women are quite talented with living things. They are at one with themselves and with nature. They are not witches, yet have been named as such. They simply see beyond the surface in all things. They are capable of love, yet see beneath the sensual lure of broad shoulders and handsome faces. They see a man's soul. Seeing that deeply makes love surpassingly difficult ... for Glendruid women are also human. Understanding someone, and loving him despite that understanding, is a trait more often found in angels than in mankind. Glendruid women are just that ... women ... not angels.
