About your host.

My full name is Peter Bowen Riley, but I prefer to be called "Bo," or "Bowen." I also answer to "Glendor." I was born and currently reside in Columbus, Ohio. I teach History at Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School. I am a graduate of The Ohio State University, where I majored in History and German. I have also completed the Education program at Ohio Dominican University. I currently am in the MSS (Masters of Social Science) program at Ohio University. I am a licensed Social Studies teacher. The date of my illustrious entrance into the realm of the living was the 10th of February, 1976. In my spare time, I study History and German, listen to, compose, and perform Music, and enjoy painting, photography, cooking, gardening, playing video games, and watching television.

As a student of History, my primary areas of interest include 20th century German History, Military History, and East-Central European History. My favorite musicians to listen to are David Bowie, The Smiths, Elvis Costello, Kurt Weill, Charles Mingus, Frank Zappa, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, usw. I play electric and upright bass, electric and classical guitar, banjo, tuba, and accordian. I also enjoy working as a musician in the Theatre, having performed (p), conducted (c), or music directed (d) such shows as The Who's Tommy (p, c, d), Little Shop of Horrors (p, c, d), Jesus Christ Superstar (p), A Fiddler on the Roof (p), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (p), Godspell (p, c), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (p, c), Grease (p), Annie (p), Scrooge: The Stingiest Man in Town (p, c, d), The Wizard of Oz (p), and The Wiz (p, c, d).

I have a cat named Alex. I had a cat named Stampy, but she's "no longer among us." Alex is named for Alex from the novel A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. Read the Book. See the movie.
