History:
Relena Darlian is the daughter of King Peacecraft of the Sanc Kingdom. She is also Zechs' sister, and the adoptive daughter of the late Vice Foreign Minister Darlian of the former allience. She met Heero Yuy when she had recently returned to Earth after a diplomatic trip with her adoptive father. She was captivated by him, and seems to have fallen in love with him. However, Heero never has shown solid evidence of love for her.
Relena's adoptive father was assasinated by the original Romefeller Foundation, and when she later became princess and ruler of the Sanc Kingdom, Romefeller toppled her throne, and destroyed the country. She has always had it in for them. However, her inner strength best showed when she led the people to protest Marimeia's rule of the earth. She guided the public to battle, and disowned herself as a pacifist.
In the year AC:197, she was working with Heero and other ESUN VIPs, when the original Delaz Fleet leader declared war on the Gundams with a surprise attack on MO II. MO II was destroyed, but the people escaped. However, the Fleet had some prototype gundams attacking the shuttles carrying the VIPs. As if she suddenly realized why people fight, she left a shuttle and grabbed a floating Gundam, the Xtreme. Strangly enough, she was able to pilot it to destroy the main flag ship and one of the prototype gundams. Even though she had only learned basic functions of a gundam, she piloted the suit in manuvers that even Heero couldn't do. Later she was tested, but was not found to be a Newtype. She later helped design the peace treaty between the ESUN and all warring partys. She later stored the Gundam Xtreme away, so that only she knew where it was kept, so no one could use it. |
