Basic Laws of Magic

Law of Cause and Effect
Exactly the same actions done under exactly the same conditions will always be associated with exactly the same results

Law of Knowledge
The more you learn the stronger you are. If you know all there is to know about something, then you have absolute and total control over it.

Law of Self-Knowledge
The most important kind of knowledge is knowledge of oneself

Law of Names
Knowing the complete and total true name of a phenomenon or entity gives you complete control over it.

Law of Words of Power
There are certain words that are able to change and influence the inner and outer reality of those saying them.

Law of Association
If two things, A and B, have something in common, hat thing can be used to control both, and A and B have a mutual influence on each other, depending upon the size of the thing shared. The more they have in common, the more they influence each other.

Law of Similarity
Effects resemble causes. Any object, idea, or person that reminds you of, or is connected with a particular phenomenon or entity, partakes of that entity's power and can be used as if it were the entity itself.

Law on Contagion
Things once in contact continue to interact after separation.

Law of Identification
By maximum association between your metapattern* and that of another entity, you can actually become that entity and wield its power

Law of Synthesis
The synthesis of two opposing ideas or data will produce a third idea that will be truer than either of the first two. The third idea will not be a compromise but will be something brand new.

Law of Polarity
(1) anything can be split into two completely opposite characteristics and (2) each of these polarities contains the essence of the other in its own essence.

Law of Balance
If you wish to survive, let alone become powerful, you must keep all aspects of your universe balanced. You need a certain amount of energy or power in order to survive. If you have too little or too much power you will kill yourself.

Law of Infinite Data
We will never run out of things to learn.

Law of Infinite Senses
You cannot hear, taste, smell, or touch things with our eyes unless you are a small child with natural synesthesia,** or else a grown-up tripping out on acid or mescaline.

Law of Pragmatism
The working principle that the total amount of data is infinite is a "true" principle.

Law of Infinite Universes
There are an infinite number of ways to view the universe and therefore, again by the Law of Pragmatism, there are an infinite number of universes.

Law of True Falsehoods
This refers to data, which contradict one's usual metapattern but which nonetheless, work.

Law of Personification
Any phenomenon may be considered to be alive and to have a personality; in short, to be an entity, and that this is often useful and therefore true.

Law of Invocation and Evocation
You can conjure up from, respectively, the inside and outside of your metapattern, real entities. These entities are only personifications of patterns, of course, but so is every entity, including your friends.
