Right, after that rather long and interesting title, a brief explanation.
We are the Somserset and Dorset group of 16mm scale modellers, and our aim is to promote 15/16mm scale modelling in the Somerset and Dorset area. Our group is part of the national Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers, and we run trains mainly on 32 or 45mm tracks. This makes modelling prototypes of 2ft gauge (16mm/32mm track) and 3ft gauge (15mm/45mm track) possible. At the moment, most of the group is situated in the Bournemouth area of Dorset, though there are three railways open to visitors by private contact in the Somerset portion of the group, with another on the way. |
