Workshops and Classes

Saturday, February 9th at Ymir
March 1st at Kingdom Arts and Sciences Festival
Sunday,April 20th, Guild Workshop and Meeting (Lady Sveva's in North Durham)
(Future meetings TBA)

Ymir! There will be a class on lampwork beadmaking...particularly focusing on some Viking styles and techniques.

At KASF, Sveva and other glassworkers will be demoing lampwork and there will be a display by glass artisans from across the Kingdom.

The Windmasters Hill Glassworkers Guild will gather for some hot torch time on Sunday, April 20th at the home of Signora Sveva Lucciola in North Durham from 12:00 to 5:00pm. If you've been thinking about learning to make a glass bead, would like to expand your lampworking skills, or just want to hang out with some other lampworkers exchanging ideas and know-how, please join us! We are always willing to introduce others to the glass arts, but ask that you come at the beginning of the workshop so we can show you how and then still have plenty of time to practice.

If the weather doesn't allow us to work outside on the porch, we will focus on something inside instead.
If you cannot make these meetings, but are interested in the glass arts, either learning or sharing your knowledge with others, please get in touch with me. Some of the future workshops we would like to plan are special lampwork techniques, fusing, stain glass, glass painting, and mosaic work. For directions or other questions, please contact Lady Sveva Lucciola at either "glassworkers" at "yahoo.com" or (919) 471-6104.
