The Barak Runador appears more solid and well made then the Stone of Tear if such a thing could be possible. Stone work that even an Ogier would admire. Most of the adornments are done in a deep dark red and mahogony. All of the metal work in a tarnished gold and mythril.*

Opening or closing them at will. Unless rifting is a magic known on your world, I would not worry about anything following you here. Traveling through rifts is not something done lightly, as its like trying to find a particular grain of sand at a beach. They look at the tarn perched at the landing with a mixture of love and outright jealousy. The tarn itself is blood red from head to toe....all of its plumage, including the feathery crest adorning his head. He truely looks feircer then any you've seen before. Something about the eagle like features, or perhaps it is the more reptilian eyes this one has....with elongated pupils. It pecks at the rocks at its feet as though they were kernnels of bird feed....eating them. Its talons are shod in mythril and the exotic saddle fit for riding hangs on its back still.

You have to strap down, or you'll fall off....no matter how careful you or they are. *She seems to have a bound with the tarn. almost as though she's married to the Tarn* We can controll them with these rings. *You notice a set of rings set where the saddle horn would be.* But Dalanar taught us how to use leg pressure, like ridding a horse, only its more complicated, since you can go up and down too. *she laughs lightly and waits for dalanar to take off*

Other then that, they can come and go more or less at will, but they always seem to stay close to their rider. *Ahead Arimus city comes into view. The city is large and slightly impossing. A vast wall encircles it, and many buildings crowd the streets. Dozens on dozens of Aerial guard maintain positions all about the city, sitting on fierce looking Tarns and several on eagles that make the tarns look like pigions. Giants among giants. Even Rocs have been added to the Aerial guard. Sort of a bomber squadron. There is much activity in the city, though its hard to say exactly what from this vantage. At the center of the city is a large arena like stadium. The tarns began to circle before landing at the headquarters of the Aerial guard.*

There are more of the blood red tarns, only about a dozen total, including Bloodwing....though all of them are hobbled and blindfolded. It seems they have yet to be bound enough to be let anywhere near loose around so many people. The aerials look up as the tarns land. As they see the Empress, they first give the salute of the aerials. Their lances snapping to attention at their side and their left fist going over their heart. Then, they each and all take a knee. A sign of the binding, the Tarns and Rocs cry out, their heads bowing down low as their wings spread wide before the Empress.*

There are several stores and taverns. Even street vendors with small carts. One cart smells of roast beast on a stick, a new fad food in Arimus. Anouther has a large collection of slepnir toys, made of a very soft velvet and pretty damned squishy. About the size that would fit in your hand*

Two women's voices, high Sopranos, they sing in Culatoro, their voices entertwining, wrapping around each other. Thrown like a sack on the back of the bird, the Aerial takes off to bring him to the prison to await trail. Most of the people on the street barely seem to acknowledge what happened after it passed, though some do talk lightly of it, even one small girl, thats still clutching her just brought twisted wooden replica of....you. She speaks in a slightly squeaky voice. "I'm gonna be an Aerial when I grow up. They're so cool." Dalanar looks over towards you as he continues to guide everyone closer to the city center.* Its not as bad as it seems, little sister. There are a few gangs of theives still, but thats about the extent of it locally. The only other problems we see, come from outside. We've had a few cut throats, though they obviously were not from Domini. Duels are held at the auditoriums or the arena. Anyone that wishes to fight to the death, must at least provide public entertainment *chuckles*

Many, many people wait in line, making their way through the gates. The vendors that crowd the streets outside the auditorium make the rest in the city seem little in comparison. They sell everything. From baubbles to treasures. Small paintings on pieces of wood, to different foods, to even necklaces with leycrystals. Even sets of "Opera Glasses" made with lenses of polished ley crystals for viewing the arena floor from even the nose bleed seats.*
