by  Blob Olds

These photos have text included on photos to illustrate how to build, and where to acquire the lights  Installed on RV-4 Wingtip

Lights are #6220-025-7752A / Aircraft Fuselage Light             from [email protected] I paid $199 It has 9 flash patterns,  I put a button switch next to the strobe switch pattern Plexi at top shows lights ON to pilot , I used 1/2" Poly tubing from Ace Hardware for the conduit in the wing. Strobe wires a 1 nav light wire +2 landing wires

Installed Light Minus Lens   Note attach screws strobe wedged in place, black painted at the front  of the taillight bulb.

Light as Purchased  Note recess  so strobe fits inside lens. See other pic  for attach screws. Use Van's flush nav lights, and Van's mounting pad for wingtip lights.

How to Trim Light for Use  Cut off flange >back of front socket to fit strobe . Tail bulb is GE 631 from WAL-Mart, a double filament single contact, paint front of bulb black.
