1-Hey Manx, how are you? Tell us about your band, Scarecrows! 

Hey Mari. The Scarecrows are like the Rocky Balboa of rock and roll in Sweden. A southpaw when all the other bands are right-handed. We’re bad boys standing alone in our musical-influences, appearance and show. Like scarecrows in the eye of the mainstream, shine’s our light on the girls with converse and the boys wearing mascara simply called la famiglia To make it short: we’re white trash living in a movie world and we allways love to put up with a good show! Entertainment or death! 

2-Do you have a recorded album? 

We released an EP 2002 on Scarecrows Records. Yet we haven’t found any deacent lable who dare's to release twisted high glam in Sweden. But we’re in progress to record a mini-album which we hope will hit the streets early 2004. 

3-How is the Glam scene in Sweden? 

Kinda poor I guess. It hardly doesn’t exist. It was a hit in like 1998- 2000. But nowadays it’s kinda rare. The rock and roll often sound like shit in Sweden right now. There’s some sleazers called Crash Diet and Paradice in Stockholm, playing glam-metal but not making any major noice unfortunently. The norweigan scene is much cooler, the glam-punksters over there are crazy and releasing good stuff. Two bands I just have to mention are Trashcan Darlings and Silver.

 4-When are you going to play in Brazil? 

When your country invites us! I would sell my soul just to get to your country and play. I’ve heared it’s fucking awsome! Allways a cool crowd. When your neighbour is a scarecrows I guess we will be on stage pretty soon after! 

5-What do you prefer :

Backyard Babies or Hellacopters (Hard one, huh?): 

Backyard Babies, because we grew up in the same city and it was the first cool band I ever saw live on stage in my early teens 1993. Their first album I guess is like one of the finest album’s ever released in Sweden. 

Hanoi Rocks or Rolling Stones? :

That’s a tough one though. Stones are Stones but as I allways say: Hanoi Rocks is my GODS! True rock and roll heroes. Their music is the soundtrack of my life! 

Britney Spears or Avril Lavigne? :

If you ask me who I want to sleep with I say Miss Spears of course. But maybe that wasn’t the question? Avril seems like pretty geeky but she’s talented though! 

Cocaine or Pot?                                                            

Pot. But i rarely abuse it!                                                                       

6-What are your thoughts about: 

Drugs: 

I love drugs as long as it make’s you feel okey and allright! But the abuse often destroy’s foolish people and it has also destroyed important parts of the rock-history. I’m addicted to nicotine and love and I love to drink alcohol, thats enough for me! 

Kelly Osbourne: 

She should gain a few pounds and take singing-lessons. 

Axl Rose: Nowadays or 1989?

 Guns N’ Roses is also one of our true favourites, but after the Axl cirkus on MTV Music Awards he kinda scares me. Grunge... ...is an evil master-plan made by the devil. Yuack! 

Pop Music: 

It depends on what you define as pop music. I’m a fan of the Beatles and I guess they’re the soul of pop. I define my self as a pop-idol! But I hate Belle and Sebastian and such lame shit!

 7-What are your influences? 

Hanoi Rocks, Rolling Stones, The Godfather trilogy, The Rocky Horror Picture show, love, Mötley Crue, The Wildhearts, Kiss, GNR, Social Distortion, Sator, The Ramones, The Lords Of The New Church the list goes on and on.... 

8-When was the last time you done drugs? 

Hard drugs? Hmm I guess I was too stoned to remember. 

9-What do you think about girls playing Glam Rock, like Lita Ford and Vixen? 

I love it! It’s cooler than sex!
