Christopher Meloni (Det. Elliot Stabler)
Christopher Peter Meloni was born on April 2, 1961, in Washington D.C. Originally from Washington, Chris now lives with his wife, Sherman Williams, a production designer, in New York City. He worked as a construction worker prior to getting his acting break. He has a degree in history from the University of Colorado. Chris has two children, a daughter, Sophia Eva Pietra (b. March 23, 2001, in Los Angeles, California), and a son, Dante Amadeo (b. January 2, 2004) Chris is half Italian, half French-Canadian (Quebecois). His two best known characters are on opposite sides of the law. On ?Oz, he played Chris Keller, a bisexual, perverted serial killer who terrorizes his fellow prisoners. On Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, he plays Det. Elliot Stabler, a sex-crimes cop so protective of his family and so intense in his hatred of criminals like Keller, that his fantasizes about "getting away" with killing them. Ironically, Meloni's acting background is mainly in comedy.
Dann Florek (Capt. Donald Cragen)
?Dann Florek was born on May 1, 1950, in Flat Rock, Michigan. He majored in math and physics at East Michigan University until a drama scholorship changed the course of his career direction. Trained at Julliard, he appeared frequently onstage ranging from the classics ("Love's Labour's Lost," "A Midsummer Nights Dream") to contemporary ("Strange Snow," "Big River," "The Three Cuckolds") appearing at the Globe Theatre and La Jolla Playhouse, among other theater venues. In Los Angeles from the '80's on, he recieved his biggest break on dramatic TV series work playing pragmatic officials on such hit shows as L.A. Law and Law & Order. Although not a name, he is a defineable face who has occisionally engaged in film supports with Eddie Macon's Run (1983), Angel Heart (1987), Move Over Parador (1988), and Beautiful Joe (2000) to his credits.
Richard Belzer (Det. John Munch)
Richard Belzer was born on August 4, 1944, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A social misfit, he was kicked out of every school he ever attended, due to his uncontrollable wit. His mother (Frances) died of breast cancer when he was 18, and his father committed suicide when he was 22. He has been married three times, first to Gail Susan Ross (1966-1972), then to Dalia Danoch (1976-1978), and he is currently married to Harlee McBride (1985-present). He has played the same character, John Munch, on five different TV shows, Homicide: Life On the Street, (1993, originating series) Law & Order, (1990, crossover) The X Files (1993, crossover), The Beat (2000, guest appearance on the short-lived UPN series), and in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999-present). He is the cousin of Henry Winkler.
Ice-T (Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola)
Ice-T was born as Tracy Marrow on February 18, 1958, in Newark, New Jersey. He has two children, a daughter, Letesha, and a son, Tracy Marrow Jr. He is married to Nicole Austin (aka, Coco, a swimsuit model). He served in the US Army from 1979-1981. He is the first known rapper to ever perform the C-Walk dance in front of cameras in the early '80's.
B.D Wong (George Haung)
B.D. Wong was born Bradley Darryl Wong on October 24, 1962, in San Francisco, California. He and his life partner, Ritchie Jackson, welcomed their son Jackson Foo Wong, on May 28, 2000. Won a 1988 Tony Award (Best Actor) for his performance in "M. Butterfly" in the role of Song Liling.
Diane Neal (ADA Casey Novak)
Diane Neal was born on November 17, 1975, in Alexandria, Virginia. She moved to Colorado when her father was promoted to the position of Federal Attorney in Denver. She is the youngest of three daughters. Diane was a pre-med major, before leaving to persue modeling. She is engaged to her boyfriend of seven years, Marcus Fitzgerald.
