How to make suggestions

On peut y aller, non ?
On y va mercredi soir ?

• To say 'let's...' or to make a suggestion with 'Shall we...?', you often start your sentence with on, e.g. On prend un verre ? 'Shall we have a drink?'
• On is the informal way of saying nous, 'we', but you'll see nous used in written French.
• In suggestions you'll also see the word y with the verb aller, e.g. On y va ce soir, 'Let's go tonight'.
