I got Candy from Ben Scott when she was 4 weeks old. I drove 400 miles (each way) on ice and snow to pick her up the day before Christmas, 2004 and chewed hard Christmas candy all the way, hence the name GKM Hard Candy Christmas. I am very proud of Candy, she is the first dog that I trained from start to finish with no help at all. Candy gives 100% every time out. Candy took a second place at the ADBA National in 2005 on her first time in competition. Candy came back in 2006 ADBA Nationals and not only won FIRST place in the 35-45 pound class, but also won Pound for Pound in 55 and under female class pulling 107.62 times her body weight. What an honor it was!! Candy also repeated her 1st place win in 2007 at the ADBA Nationals in Iowa. She is a truly outstanding female. |
