| Students in grades 3rd through 5th were invited to participate in Palmer's Xtreme Reading Challenge during the months of February to May 2008. To participate, students read a grade-level book and then took a quiz in the Library. After a student passed three quizzes, they were invited to a party. Students could attend as few as one party or as many as three parties. For example, a student who chose to read only one book per month could attend the May party. Students who chose to read three books each month were invited to all three parties, which were: March 5: Donuts & Cocoa April 10: Fruit Smoothies & Popcorn May 15: Ice Cream Sundaes Thanks to all the Xtreme Readers who participated this year, and remember ... we'll be back next spring! |
