| May 1st, 2004... The Hypnox show at Lucille Moore Elementary went quite well. We made spooky sounds without masks & managed not to frighten the children. One kid, Shamaar, even got up on stage and performed with us. We got paid in food & made some impact on at least one little black kid... we call that soverwhelming success. We'll have vcd's of the Wrath of Shamaar soon... keep an eye on the updates because it looks like we're gonna be some busy little beaver bashers juggling two such amazing bands. | May 22, 2004... The newest Tenticular Genocide cd, Devious Intercourse, is finished & ready for release. As of right now it is only available at our shows or if you just so happen to run into us on the streets. The next noise extravaganza is the Experimental Music Festival Vol. 2. It happens May 31st at Club Rumors(Illusions, the Den, whatever) on Grace Ave at around 7pm. Lots of good bands... a few good noise acts to boot. Hypnox & TG are both on the bill along with some other underground local favorites & MORE! Be there or be strangled behind a dumpster. We're not kidding... Jane Doe |
| November 15, 2004... As you may or may not have noiticed the site has not been updated in a while. This is because of some very bad news for us here at Jane Doe. On July 26th, 2004 Chris Porter AKA Captain Cephlapod was found dead around five AM. He was a dedicated artist, friend and so much more. Tenticular Genocide has continued to record with his memory in mind. The Gestapo mourns his loss most of all & has dedicated all of his creative energies to making the world a stranger place in the absence of his fallen comrade. Though briefly derailed by this tragedy, the free mailing list WILL return to functional status soon enough. Expect a special mailer in memorium of CLP along with a copy of Devious Intercourse. | Dec 8th, 2004... We are pleased to inform you that the Callahan from Colombian Necktie will be a part of the new Tenticular Genocide disk. Also look for some joint shows that will burn your house down & give your parents AIDS. |
| Sept 30th, 2006... Holy shit, so much news since the last update... where to begin? Tenticular Genocide had many recordings wiped out in Hurricane Katrina. This includes the finished but never released Reign of the Cephalopods disk. Much equipment was lost including serval irreplacable pieces of noise making machinery. Secondly, I am sorry that I haven't been able to get the mailing list back up & running yet but I promise it is coming. Two new albums are on the horizon: "Speck"--- an ep about the serial killer of the same name. "...with love."--- an album of "love noise" to give your speakers herpes. Also, Monomine Oxidase has another album out entitled "Congenital Malformations". It is truly great. Recommended for use with nitrous.
