HILLIANS READY FOR LEGAL ACTION
Local Sussex rivals Burgess Hill Town are ready to take legal action after the leg-brake of midfielder Lewis Johnson in our Bank Holiday Monday match.  Burgess Hill manager Gary Croydon blames the pitch and thats why legal action is likely, he made this interview to the non-league paper.

He explained: "I made representations before the game because of the state of the pitch. They've just spent 40,000 on new drainage but every three feet there's a drainage mark. The grass was also very long. I thought the surface was appalling and dangerous. In my opinion it was a contributing factor in the injury. The legal people have already been notified and the club will offer full support in any legal action. I feel desperately sorry for the lad because it was an injury I felt could have been avoided. But at least it appears to be a clean break which should speed recovery."

Croydon did agree it was a very physical clash but is pleased the way his team are adapting to the different style of game at this level. He set them a target of six points from the first four games and so the nine gained represents a big bonus.

ClaretnBlue says:
Well physical is correct for us maybe, if they continue to fly into our players they deserve to be sent off and some refs in this division will get use to them and they will see many reds this season.  The tackle by Chris Honey was a fair 50-50 ball which Honey won and from the pics I saw I believe that the pitch didnt have anything to do with it and Burgess Hill manager Gary Croydon said himself he didnt like the pitch before the match so this is the perfect excuse to have a go at the pitch.  We think the youngster Lewis Johnson should have a say without being pressured by his manager and if he says it wasnt the pitch then these allegations should stop.
