About Wicca:
Wicca is not Satanism.
Wicca is not a Cult.
By joining a coven you will never be asked to give anything up. Most people
join because they feel there is something missing from their current religion
and they feel that Wicca has the answers.
By joining a coven you are asking to learn Wicca and the Old Religion. The Old
Religion is not specific to any one culture or race. To some it is the religion
of our forefathers predating Christianity and Islam. We believe in the Goddess
and the God, magick (a form of prayer) , ritualistic
worship, and psychic powers. In Wicca we strive to understand our Gods by
experiencing their mysteries and to develop our magical abilities.
These mysteries and magical abilities are experienced in two different ways.
The first is a one-on-one relationship with the Goddess and God. The second is
through group worship within a coven. Personal work includes whatever you want
it to be. It is personal and it is between you and your Gods. Group work,
includes coming together as a group to worship at Esbats and Sabbats. An Esbat
is a group meeting, held twice a month, to worship the Old Gods and to learn
and study within the magical circle. A Sabbat is a religious holiday based on
the seasons of the year and it is a time for feasting, dancing and merriment.
There are 8 Sabbats a year and each one is based on Life, Death, or
Reincarnation.
About the Coven:
Gizemli Ay Kovanı is a
Gardnerian coven dedicated to the Goddess and the God. We are currently taking
interested students that feel they have a sincere calling to Wicca, The old Religion
and to the Gods.
The coven is divided into two parts, the Pagans (Outer Court) and the Initiates
(Inner Court) . Upon joining the coven (if all below
requirements are met) you will first be expected to go through an initial trial
period with the covens Outer Court that will last a minimum of 1 year and 1
day. During this trial period you will receive an introduction to Wicca’s
beliefs both in theory and practice and most important of all you will be given
the opportunity to see if Wicca is for you or not. If after the Pagan level you
feel that you would like to continue and commit yourself to the Old Gods and if
the Coven Elders feel that you are a sincere seeker of the Old Religion, then
you will be welcomed into the Inner Court of the coven as an Initiate.
Requirements for Joining:
You must be at least 18 years of age,
Have read, Witchcraft Today by: Gerald Gardner, and
Submit a personal paper about yourself and why you would like to join the coven
(In English or Turkish)
Having met these simple requirements we will set up an
initial interview. A time for us to meet and answer any questions that you and
I might have.
Traditional Wicca is free but it does come with a price, Dedication and Hard
Work.
Blessings!
