*BREAKING NEWS*: CO84 Re-opens after one year break... 16/08/03 00:01
Here we are! CO84 (just about) re-opens after a year long absence! Infact, it�s no longer the �Class Of 1984� we used to know and love, oh no, now we�re fully fledged dot-comers! Simply 'C084' from here-on-in, and now accessed via C084.itgo.com.
Our opening, not so surprisingly, has been plagued by technical error. Humph. Those avid fans of CO84 will know that both previous incarnations of C084 closed because of technical errors, mainly problems with Internet connections and hosts. However, this time we owe it all to that lovely worm known as �MsBlast�. Yes. Infecting moi�s computer and provoking an annoying 4 hours of fiddling around. Total cost to me: �22. Grr. Advise to all: Activate your firewall. Oh, and keep your virus definitions up to date. Blah, blah blah, enough of all this, if you want more visit Microsoft.com. Except for a quick word of thanks to Pob. Whom without his credit card, you wouldn�t be reading this.
So on to the new C084. Huge continent-striking power cuts aside, we should be here 24/7. But you need to submit your stuff. In other words, if peeps make use of the site, it should be quite the bustling on-line hive of activity. Purpose of C084? You could see the sites �mission statement�, but I can't be arsed to write it. Here's some brief points to consider tho:
1) CO84 should provide an online location to post news, pics and stuff.
2) CO84 should provide hours of fun.
3) Erm, can�t think of a third point, you make it up.
That brings me to conclusion. Hope C084 proves to be something we can all enjoy.
