Peckin’
The saddest thing I ever did see
Was a woodpecker peckin’ at a Plastic tree.
He looks at me and “Friend”, says he,
“Things ain’t as sweet as they used to be.”
By Shel Silverstien
The poem Peckn’, for me I think is great. From my point of view I think the meaning of the poem is that not everything is the same and it won’t always be as you thought it would be.
Dream
You once said, “I don’t feel safe.”
You once asked, “why am I here?”
You once answered, “they need me.”
You once came to me and said, “I feel safe”
You once told me, “I know why I was there, and now I’m here.”
You answered, “ God needs me now.”
When I awaked,
You were gone.
By Leslie S. Soto
I once had a dream of a death of a friend, the next morning I found out that I will never see her again.
