7th October 2001 saw over 80 people turn up to enjoy the 10th annual Gisborne ex residents reunion and BBQ. This was held at the Pumicestone Lions Park at Bongaree on Bribie Island. This event has now become so popular it has been decided to hold two functions in 2002. The first in March / April Venue on the Gold Coast. (Venue to be advised) Organiser Stephen Foster. The second on our usual October weekend on the Sunshine Coast. There are so many ex Gisborne folk living in both areas and the feeling is that most will attend both picnics and allow those who do not wish to travel the opportunity to party closer to home.
