***Anthony Hopkins told to exercise for Hannibal prequel***
The producers of Red Dragon say they won't use digital technology to make Anthony Hopkins look younger.
The film is set 10 years before The Silence Of The Lambs.
Instead, Hopkins has been told to exercise and have facials.
"He's been on a very strict regimen of physical training and diet to trim and to rejuvenate," co-producer Martha De Laurentiis tells www.ew.com.
"He's been doing facials."
The film, is a re-make of Manhunter, and is based on Thomas Harris's book, which was originally called Red Dragon.
It will begin with the capture of Hannibal Lecter which is shown only in flashback in the book.
According De Laurentiis, Harris came up with the idea to start the new movie by showing Lecter as a free man before anyone knew he was a serial killer.
Red Dragon will be released later in the year.

***Tony on Tomb Raider?***
Here is a paragraph I found in the March 2002 PS Magazine, it is about the soundtrack for the Tomb Raider game:
"The team is clearly aiming for the top when it comes to the audio that will bring the new Tomb Raider game to life. Angelina Jolie's management has been approached to see if she can be persuaded to provide the voice, though this seems extremely unlikely. On this wish list too is Sir Anthony Hopkins for the voice of Eckhardt- what would we give for this one to happen? Again, it's unlikely, but within the realms of posibility if Core can pull the right strings"

***Anthony Hopkins in Shakespeare duel with 11-year-old co-star***
Sir Anthony Hopkins exchanged Shakespeare quotes with his 11-year-old co-star on the set of Hearts In Atlantis.
The film stars Hopkins as a lodger who befriends young Bobby Garfield, played by Anton Yelchin.
The Australian director, Scott Hicks, overheard the two actors relaying Shakespeare quotations.
Hopkins, 64, and Yelchin, 11, shared the same close relationship on and off the set, reports www.theage.com.au.
"On one occasion, I could hear them exchanging quotes from Hamlet with each other, which I thought was remarkable," said Hicks.
"This is an 11-year-old kid sort of sparring with Anthony Hopkins over a Shakespeare play. I thought well, that's really something."

***Hannibal Lecter prequel will be faithful to the book, says director***
Red Dragon director Brett Ratner says his movie will be faithful to Thomas Harris's book.
Ratner says the film's ending will be similar to that of the bestseller.
He says Anthony Hopkins has been working out in preparation for his return to the role of Hannibal Lecter.
The novel Red Dragon, which marked the debut of Lecter, was originally adapted for the 1986 film Manhunter but Ratner is bringing what he feels is a more honest version to the screen.
He told about.com: "Manhunter was cool when it came out, but my script is written by Ted Tally, who won the Academy Award for writing Silence Of The Lambs. He didn't write Manhunter or Hannibal.
"This is really inspired by the book and it's way closer to the book than Manhunter. Manhunter was kind of inspired by Red Dragon the book. Red Dragon the movie is literally an interpretation of the book.
"Manhunter, I think they even changed the name because it wasn't close to what the book was. And it ends more like the book. The end of Manhunter had nothing to do with the book at all."
Ratner added: "Anthony Hopkins is on a workout regimen. He's lost 20 pounds. He's back to the weight that he was when he did Silence Of The Lambs."
The film is expected to hit UK screens later this year.

***Rumours circulate over further movie outings for Hannibal Lecter***
A movie fans' website suggests Hannibal Lecter may return for another cinema outing.
The Cinematic Happenings Under Development site claims producers are in discussions about a further movie after Red Dragon is released.
Red Dragon is the prequel to Silence Of The Lambs, and was originally filmed under the title Manhunter.
A posting on www.chud.com says: "It seems director Ridley Scott isn't finished with the character.
"Scott has reportedly discussed the subject with producer Dino DeLaurentiis for a potential Hannibal Returns, and additionally Anthony Hopkins has met with screenwriter Steve Zaillian about where they'd like to possibly take the character.
"Another report claims that the film would be told in flashbacks and feature FBI Agent Starling hunting a different serial killer.
"We have no idea as to the validity of any of this, but Hopkins is allowing himself to be digitally 'de-aged' for the upcoming prequel/remake Red Dragon, so it seems anything is possible."

***'There's no Hannibal sex scene' insists Julianne Moore***
Julianne Moore has denied rumours that a graphic love scene was shot for Hannibal.
Moore says she and Anthony Hopkins never shot the scene.
Rumours that it will be included on the film's DVD are untrue, she says.
"There are rumours that we shot a graphic love scene between Clarice and Hannibal that didn't make the movie, but will make the DVD. Let me repeat. We never shot that sex scene," she told www.suntimes.com
