So here you go, to kick off the first chill in the air we bring you our investigation of the Hamilton bound Werx.

So we didnt have the chance to do any research before hand on the location, and as it turns out Headly actually didn't want us to anyway. So I'm going to write this report with that in mind.  I'm not going to tell you where the activity was most active until the end and as I go I'll explain to you how we felt in each room so you can compare our intuitive feelings to the places that have actually seen activity.   Sound good?...

We've been to a lot of locations as a group over the past 2 years, cemeteries, towers, lighthouses, and even old mansions, but this building was quite the exception.  The Werx is like one of those places you have nightmares about...the old building you can't find your way out of...common you know what I'm talking about.
You could walk down the smallest hallway, open a door and end up in the largest room you've ever seen and frankly you have no idea how you even got there.  The upper part of the building was the first stop on our hunt; we passed an old run down elevator shaft and up a set of wooden winding stairs.
Now the upper section has been used as a church twice, and that's the first feeling you get upon entering.  There was an intense feeling of emotion there, like people had been moving in and out of that area a lot at one point. Directly in front of us was a kitchen and to the left was a large room used as a meeting area. Corrie began taking pictures of the kitchen and meeting room, and all was turning up unsuccessful. Until she snapped a picture of the hallway leading to the other side of the upper area and...orbs.
As the group passed down the hall Dana noticed a small room to the right making a quick turn into the room she mentioned that she visualized a priest sitting at the table. Okay intuitive evidence number one...got it...lets keep going then. Next the girls pushed open the door directly in front of them and were amazed to find a huge hall. This room was gigantic! It was being used as a storage room at the time, but that didn't stop all the girls, Jen in particular, from feeling an unbelievably dark sensation in this room. It was a very unwelcome feeling...alrighty evidence number two.
After spending some time in this room taking pictures, using the pendulums and dousing rods, we were ready to head into the next part of the building. We where then taken down the stairs, as we walked down Jen felt someone push her, and turning she was surprised to find no one there. Passing by another empty elevator shaft we where then taken to a room used as a reserved bar.
As Dana was walking across the floor of the bar, she turned and mentioned that something had just tugged on the sleeve of her jacket. Corrie snapped a picture of an orb scurrying across the floor about a foot away from where Dana was standing. Okay not really intuitive...but its evidence so hear's number three...the tugging.
We then travelled to the basement, the stairs were cold stone and the temperature dropped dramaticlly as we decended.
Finally after taking some pictures and temp readings we headed to the middle floor where the main bar is, this room was large and cozy with many pool tables and art work on the walls. Dana was immediately drawn to the far right corner, she wasn't sure exactly why but she mentioned that she felt a strong energy in this area. Yup you guessed it numero cinquo.
The Story
Okay so here's how the story goes, like I said before the building has been used for a multitude of different things. Churches, spice factories and now currently is a bar. The building is haunted by a spirit named Harvey. Harvey lived in the building during a time when it was being used as one of its many factories.
Story goes that one night Harvey woke up to find that his room was on fire, and quickly found that he had no way of escape. Before anyone was able to pull him out of the blaze he was burned badly and died later in hospital.
The owner believes that the spirit of Harvey still hangs around haunting the building and causing a multitude of mischief. Now I know that this is out of order but ah well, hear is number five. The strange thing is that Harvey's original bedroom was the far right hand corner of the middle floor...kinda weird eh?

The Evidence
The second story of the building was once used as a church. The movement of the people who travelled to the church on a daily basis could explain the sensations present in that area. The small room that Dana saw the priest in, was actually once used as a priest quarters. Side note: She mentioned this before we had even known that this floor had been used as a church.
The large hall in the back has been a spot of activity for quite a while. As we where told, a group of girls attempting to communicate with the spirits of the building drew a pentacle on the floor with salt. They then attempted to invoke the spirit, and instead got the crap scared out of them. The spirit apparently began to speak and before the girls ran out screaming like nutters, they were able to obtain the word Harvey, which is why he is called Harvey to this day. Others have reported strange sounds and voices in this area as well.
Number three: the tugging and poking is the most common thing to happen to most people who visit the bar. We were told a story of how a line of people sitting at the bar were once each tapped on the shoulder one after the other. Each person turned to find no one there, only their confused neighbour staring around much like them.

Interesting Werx fact: a few years ago one of the employees at the bar had gone downstairs to do a count of the kegs after hours. When he had finally made it down the winding stone steps to the bottom, he spotted someone running aross the large room to the right. This stranger ran down the far hall and disappeared around the corner. Now the weird thing is that the door at the end of the hall has one of those bars you have to push hard to open. The door would have made a loud release noise if some one had used it as means of escape...and it didnt.
Completely freaked out, the employee then rushed up the stairs and called the police immediately. When the police arrived they searched the entire building from top to bottom and found absolutely nothing. There had been no break in, the employee had had a run in with Harvey...and quit soon after.
A Bit More about the Werx: Some of the stories that we were told after our investigation proved to be very interesting. People have been poked pulled at and whispered to. Harvey has turned on vacuums and played with lights and when we were doing our investigation he shook something in the closet which scared the crap out of Nicole. There is an overwhelming feeling in that building that stays with you for many days. Its a very strange rush of emotions that hit you all at once as you travel its many rooms and corridors. You can almost see the people who once lived, visited, worked and prayed in the building as if they where imprinted on its very foundations. Whether its Harvey, the priest or a host of different spirits, they appear to be living quite peacefully together with one common goal. To cause a little mischief and to help people to remember the rich history and events that have taken place in the building.
