Ninth Week of Pregnancy

Chris: "How you feeling?"
Me: "Tired."
Chris: (Laugh) "I don't know why I asked."

Well the ninth week of pregnancy is here and it's a big week.  By the end of the week, the embryo will have officially become a FETUS.  That's right.  No more mamby pansy embryo talk. I gots me a FETUS. It's called a fetus now because it's lost its tail!  NO MORE TAIL!  Whew. Thank God!
I also have a report of my first vomit session!  How exciting.  That was this morning after I made myself a turkey and mustard bagel/sandwich.
Speaking of eating...  I've been hungry this week and then when a meal is prepared for me, I've (most of the time) not been able to eat much. It's frustrating--like being sleepy and not being able to fall asleep.
Not that I've been having trouble sleeping...
I have had a stuffy  nose lately (how accurate are those guides to pregnancy---they predicted this this week. Amazing.) It's because the mucus (ah, I said the word!) membranes are swelling due to the higher levels of progesterone and estrogen.
As for the baby, the baby now has testes if it's a boy, and now has ovaries if it is a girl.  He/she is 13-17 mm crown to rump.  He/she weighs in at one gram.  He/she has elbows now. The baby is already moving around in the uterus, although I can't feel it at this point. Baby has webbed fingers at this time.
I had a dream that we had a little boy---his name was William Thomas and Chris and his mother begged me to rename him Cecil.  So I did.  Then they all got mad because they said they were only joking...funny dream.

Other news:
Sports bras have become my friend.
I now have some zits on my chin.
I cried for no reason this morning (before the hurling session).
All of this was predicted by the pregnant websites.  I am still amazed.
        Food That's Making Me Happy:
         Nesquick Chocolate Milk
          Cheerios
          Bagels
Vanilla ice cream cone (28 cents!) at Sonic

Tune in later this week as I give details of our second doctor visit on Wednesday.
         Keep us in your prayers!

Not my ultrasound, but hopefully, at the doctor visit this Wednesday, we can get one....
"HELP! I'm immersed in some cotton candy!"
