Oh
man! It's been a long time since I've updated!!! Well, here's my new layout,
which is inspired by the Chevelle concert I went to this month. The band played
several selections from Wonder What's Next and This Type of Thinking (Could Do
Us In). The light show was fantastic and I knew all the words. The opening acts
Taproot and The Black Maria were not even close to as good as Chevelle was.
Yeah, The Black Maria sucked!

I
got back from cheerleading camp yesterday. I still am really sore, but I had a
lot of fun this year. Last year, it was gay.... We learned 4 dances, 6-8
sidelines, a few chants, several stunts, and I have no clue how many floor
cheers. Our squad got the "Superior Squad Award", 2nd place on the cheer, a
Spirit Stick, and the covenant of cheerleading camp-the "Leadership Award."
Brittany, Kia, and me all got UCA All-Star Cheerleading. "Superior Squad" is
judged on how good your squad performs all around. 2nd place in cheer-out of all
the squads, our "Camp Cheer" performance placed second-and there we some really
good squads there. The "Leadership Award" is voted on all the other squads on
who made their camp experience unique. So we were the coolest squad in other
words......The UCA (Universal Cheerleading Association) really liked our energy,
so why doesn't our crowd cheer with us????? Cheerleading is a sport, and, for
the most part, we are athletes. If you say something about one of us, you are
really saying something about all of us, because we have this word called
"teamwork", and we bring home more trophies than anyone else-and that's why ours
are pushed to the back. So kiss my cheerleading ...!

A
few days ago, I have acquired the new Foo Fighters dual disc "IN YOUR HONOR."
Contrary to popular belief, the acoustic CD is not of the songs on the rock CD,
they are their own songs. The last CD I purchased before that was Queens of the
Stone Age's "LULLABIES TO PARALYZE." Ex-bassist Nick Olveri, is not featured on
this album [that's why he's an ex-bassist!]. On this album, Josh Homme is joined
by: Alain Johannes [Eleven], Troy Van Leeuwen[Enemy, A Perfect Circle], Joey
Castillo[Danzig], Mark Lanegan[The Screaming Trees], and Natasha
Schneider[Eleven]. Note: Troy Van Leeuwen does some cool slide and Mark Lanegan
has good piano placement. On October 14th, NIN and QOTSA are in St. Louis, and,
August 6th or something like that Chevelle is as well.

Hi
and welcome to my site Girltar...yeah, I know, it's dumb.... Anyway, I have a
media player at the side and it has Chevelle songs I found on it.
Love
ya and peace,
Leah
Maria~
