Our summer vacation is behind us and a new year of school and Girl Scouts is upon us. The girls who were able to attend our Summer Get Together last weekend had a great time. We would like to welcome Jami and Miranda to the troop. They were able to meet a good majority of the girls at the park.
This year we will have a multi level troop. We have 8 Juniors and 7 Brownies. We are still looking to recruit one 3rd grade Brownie. Sharon will be leading the Brownies and Lisa will be leading the Juniors. We will try and do as many things as possible together.
Please take a few minutes to review the Welcome Back Letter that Lisa emailed to each of you as well as the 08-09 updated calendar. We have another fun-filled year planned for the girls. The 3rd grade Brownies will bridge into the Junior level at the end of this season.
Dues will remain at $2 each meeting. Please help your daughters remember to bring their dues to each meting and have them at the school on time or a few minutes early, so that we can begin on time.
The Fall Product Sale will begin on Sept. 25th. The troop would like to thank Amanda's Mom (Sharon) and Miranda's Mom (Kim) for volunteering to be our Chairs for this Fall Product Sale. Sharon will be handling all the paperwork and money while Kim will be picking up and distributing our Nut order when it arrives. The girls will be getting trained on the sale at our first meeting on Sept. 15th. I have Annual Permission slips that will need to be signed by anyone who has not turned one in, giving your daughter permission to participate in the sale. |
