| We had our Investiture/Rededication ceremony and we are all committed to Girl Scouts for the 08-09 season! The Junior girls began working on their Camera Shots badge in November and should complete it in December. We attended the Holiday Card Sorting event on November 20th and helped sort over 7,500 cards and stuff goodies bags with candy for Soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq. In December, we will be attending Winterfest again. We love shopping and participating in all of the activities there. The Brownies will begin working on their Science Wonders Try-It over the next few weeks. Our troop is holding a Food Drive to assist the Milpitas Food Pantry during the holidays. Each girl that collects a 20 lb. bag of canned non perishable food will receive a patch. The canned items will be collected at our two meetings in December. Should you have any questions, please ask Sharon or Lisa. We will be doing our Secret Pal gifts again this year for the holidays. The gift limit is $5 and the girls are suppose to pick something out for their Secret pal and bring the wrapped gift to our meeting on Dec. 8th. We will be having a Holiday Celebration at this meeting and the girls will open thier gifts then. The girls want to get dressed up and have a Fondue Party for our holiday meeting. A sign up sheet for party items will be at our next meeting, so please come in when you drop off or pick up your daughter. Happy Holidays to you All! |
