BROWNIE GIRL SCOUT HANDBOOK
This book provided the foundation of the Girl Scout program for six-to-eight-year olds.  Included in its pages are acitivities, the Girl Scout Promist and Law, Girl Scout history and traditions, safety tips and topics.


TRY-ITS FOR BROWNIE GIRL SCOUTS
Many youngsters agree tht earning Try-Its is one of the best parts of being a Brownie Girl Scout.  This book includes all the information needed to help girls earn the awards, which they can then wear on their vests or sashes.


ISSUES FOR GIRL SCOUTS SERIES
This unique series of books addresses important, comtemporary topics in a non-threatening manner, providing girls with opportunities for thought, discussion and interaction.


1.  READ TO LEAD FOR BROWNIE GIRL SCOUTS
This booklet introduces girls to the wonders of reading and writing, and encourages them to hone these skills by doing interesting activities.

This booklet contains activities and worksheets that any leader anywhere can use to guide girls through their own science and nature explorations.  No special equipment required.
2.  FUN AND EASY ACITIVITES-NATURE AND SCIENCE
This activity books used adventure, self-expression, and whimsy to help Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts explore nature on their own or with the family.  Also a great source of troop and group pre-activities.


GIRL SCOUTS AGAINST SMOKING:  DAISY AND BROWNIE GIRL SCOUTS
The dangers of smoking are undeniable and this pamphlet addresses them through accurate information and engaging activities.

SPORTS DIARY
In the new millennium, girls are increasingly enjoying the benefits of sports and fitness.  The Sports Diary enables six-to-eight years olds to recor their accomplishments in these areas.


GAMES FOR GIRL SCOUTS
Playing games is as much a part of Brownie Girl Scouting as any other activity.  This book will give you, as a Girl Scout leader, tons of ideas for games that you may remember from your childhood as well as variations on them and completely new ones.

NEW RESOURCES FOR BROWNIE GIRL SCOUT TROOP LEADERS

Calling all new and/or busy troop leaders!  There is a new council=created resource that has been developed just for you!  We want to make this a great year for you and to help make that happen, three troop leader guides have been created for the Building Art, Eat Right, Stay Healthy, and the Her Story Try-Its.  Each guide gives you step-by-step directions for three troop meetings that center around one of the three Try-Its listed above.  Activites include those need to complete the Try-It, as well as some new fun projects and experiments that will add to the overall girl experience.  Each guide contains helpful hints for leaders, discussion prompts and activity directions, as well as supply and advance preparations tips.  You can access copies of these guides either at yourlocal service center or you can find them online in the program sections of the council web site.  We hope this will help you get started on a great year of Girl Scouting!
