April 11:  Registerations due for Brownie Rally
April 11-13: National Youth Service Day,
April 14: Traveling Store at Saghlie Junior High, 4:30-6:30pm
April 14: Monthly Leaders Meeting.  It is important that all troops have a rep at this meeting since spring registerations will be handed out and a council rep will be discussing the end of year finanical paperwork each troop MUST do.
April 17:  Daisy Days, Rainier View Elementary
April 22: LEADERS APPREICATION DAY
April 29: Junior Badge Day, Illahee Junior High, 7-9:00pm

2003-04 EVENTS COMMITTEE

The Events Committee is already busy planning out the 2003-04 events calendar.  They are looking for people to help with the following events:  Cadette/Senior Event (Tentatively scheduled for October 17, 2003), Juliette Low Event (Tentatively scheduled for October 24, 2003) and a new event for 2003-04, Me and My Family (Tentatively scheduled for November 14, 2003).  If you would like to help with these events or any other event please let
Shelley Sturn, Gabriele Hammon or Monika Hammon know.
SERVICE UNIT WEB SITE

Gabriele is looking for suggestions on the web site.  Is there something you would like added?  She will be adding and deleting information over the summer and wants to make sure she includes information you would like.  If you have any suggestions or feedback on the service unit web site please email her at

ENCAMPMENT SUPPLIES

Paulette is looking for the following supplies for encampment:  Old cardboard display boards, like the ones used for Thinking Day and styroform (not cardboard) egg cartons.  If you have any of these items please contact
Paulette.

For those troops coming to encampment will be receiving an encampment manual at the leaders meeting.  Please read it and follow the guidelines.  If you have any questions please contact

GIFT OF CARING

The Gift of Caring for this year's cookie sales was a great success.  The following troops participated this year.  This was a very successful Gft of Caring campaign this year.  Thank you to all who participated.

Troop 1162:  Operation Cookie Drop and Village Green Retirement Home
Troop 1344:  USS Lincoln
Troop 920, 1319, 1477,1734,1846, 1864, 1865, 1867, 2138, 2153, 2188:  Military Troops directly
Troop 1118:  Operation Cookie Drop and the Federal Way Food Bank
MONTHLY TROOP ACTIVITIES

TROOP 2139: They helped the Seniors with Troop 1865 with the Arts and Crafts Backpack service project.  They helped put together coloring books.  The girls also participated in the gift of caring program during cookie sales
SUPER TROOPS

There are many troops who have might the requirements for Super Troop status.  If your troop was one of them you have been emailed a patch order form.  If you would like the patches please turn your order form in at the leaders meeting, April 14 so your troop can receive the patches before the end of the year.  Also please let us know if you would like to continue this program next year.
BROWNIE RALLY

Registerations for Brownie Rally are due at the leaders meeting.  Also the planning committee needs to know if there are any 5 and 6th grade junior troops who would like to help with this event.  If your junior troops helps with an event it counts to their leadership hours they need for their leadership pin.
3rd GRADE SLUMBERPARTY

Registeration forms have been sent out to all Brownie troops with 3rd graders.  This is a bridging event.  Please contact Shelley Sturn at [email protected] for more information on this.
