Before we went to Monterey, we had a guest speaker. She was a marine biologist. She showed us how to use microscopes so we could see the details in the small creatures. Later we set up camp at Sunset Beach State Park. The next day we visited Monterey Bay Aquarium. We walked down the coast, and also we got to touch things in the touch pools. Did you know kelp is in toothpaste and ice cream? Then we went back to Sunset Beach State Park where we camped another night and then went to the beach. At the beach we found a ton of sand dollars, collected garbage, and played.
