The 2001 AILHA Nationals were held recently at HomeBush, Sydney.
Western Australia sent teams in the 16's, 18's, Seniors & Women's Divisions.
It was the first year WA has entered a Women's team. We got off to a shakey start drawing our fist couple of games but came back to beat Victoria (last years winners) in a shoot out for the Silver/Bronze game against New South Wales. NSW just winning that game 2-1. Queensland the eventual winners, NSW secound, WA with Bronze followed by Victoria, ACT and then SA.
Congratulations to Kelly Skinner, Kelly was the only West Australian Women to be chosen for the 2001 All Star Line Up.

The 2001 Oceania Championships were held in Cairns, Queensland directly after the AILHA tournament. The Aussie Ladies took out the gold despite only having a small number of player. The Junior Ladies winning the gold aswell in their first year at the competition.
Congratulations to all the players.
