| Name Paula John Nick Name I get called Captain Duck and "The Ultimate Warrior" (though I'm not to sure why) But only by a few people D.O.B A long time ago (6th March 1966) Place of Birth Brisbane, QLD How Long have you been in Western Australia Eleven years Position Wherever Shoots Right Current teams Western Hawks Thunder Birds, Western Hawks Seniors & Masters, Masters and Ladies State & Australian Teams How did you get into hockey Played field hockey from the age of five till about 29 then after the birth of my first baby (Tyler), was at the gym trying to get back into shape and met some one who has a pendant on that was a pair of crossed hockey sticks and she told me about Inline hockey and how they were trying to get a ladies team going and a week later, I was hooked. How long have you been playing for About Three years Who are the players you enjoy playing with the most Christine Wight-Pickin, Melissa Jetten, Catherine Bruce and not to forget "Uncle" Bob Johnstone Why All the girls have verry good individual skills and always put in 200% They are great team players and I have so much trust in them that you know there is always some one there to assist or cover you. Uncle Bob has so much experience that you lern something new from him every time you play. Who are the toughest people you have played against It would have to be The Canadians that I played against at the 2000 Oceanias. Who have been you biggest influences My Husband David Who is your hockey idol Don't really have an Idol, but have a lot of respect for Bob Johnstone What has been you best experience as a hockey player Winning the gold medal at the 2000 Nationals against Victoria 4-1. Do you have a hard time playing against the Boys Not now. Do you play ice hockey No Do you play any other sports Not any more What is your dream as a hockey player I would love to play at the Olympics, but will probably be over the hill by the time they have Inlien Included. |
