GPHIL 101: God isn't real
The great empiricle philosophers say God isn't real because He cannot be detected by the senses.  "You can't see God." they say, but I see God when I look into the starry heavens and the vast ocean He has made.  I see Him in the eyes of my friends and family.  I see Him in the majestic towering mountains.   "You can't hear God." they retort, but I hear God in the sweet song of birds, in the laughter of people, in a soft spoken "I love you", in a heartfelt prayer.  "You can't taste God." they argue...but I can taste God...in sweet honeycomb, in fresh strawberrys and watermelon on a hot summer's day.  "Ah, but you can't smell God." they reply, but I smell God in sweet spring flowers, in the forest, by the sea, up in the mountains, by a cool stream, in fresh cut grass.  "Fool!  You can't feel God!  You can't toutch Him!" they shout.  But I have indeed- in the soft coat of a kitten, the nuzzle of a horses velvet nose, the warm night breeze, the salt ocean waves lapping my feet, a tender hug just when you need it.  Most of all, I feel God in my heart when I praise, welling up inside of me a joy beyond words that puts me on a high nothing else can give you...filled with His love, pouring down around me, fresh, new, clensed- oh yes, you CAN sense God. You just have to know where to look.
