| So far, I have been to London shopping, to Collingwood skiing, to Camp Wanakita near Haliburton (way up in Northern Ontario). We slept in quinzhees (igloos) for one night. I also went to a NBA basketball game in Toronto. The Raptors won against the Phoenix Suns. I have tried skating and the national coffee, Tim Horton's. I've been tobagganning. The snow is about 2 feet deep right now. Sun 16 March:We've just finished March break which was a nice rest. Except now all the snow is melting!!!! : ( Sun 23 March: Some more things I have done are, travelling to Ohio in March Break with a group of Rotarians and Amanda, another round of skiing (but in Kitchener this time), gone to some local Tavistock Hockey games, and went to Niagara Falls as you can see from all my photos!! 2nd HOST FAMILY: I moved on the 13th of April! Hopefully soon I'll get some piccy's of my new house on here! Oh!!! A big thing that is coming up is from the 28th of June to the 28th of July I will be travelling on a bus with 96 other Exchange students across CANADA!!! | 12th of Feb 2004 Hello everyone, Well I have now been home for 2 months (yesterday). Im doing Grade 12 which is nice cos Im with the people that I hve gone all the way through school with. Year 12 is hard and busy but Im coping! lol My parents got a ice suprise when i stepped off the plane with my hair in braids. My mum was speechless and that normally doesnt happen! I miss Canada a lot, the people, Timmies, the snow! and lots more but it's nice to be home with y family and Australian friends. Im hoping to be able to come back in a couple of years maybe 2007 for Corissa's wedding so hopefully i can catch up with alot of u then! I also wanna travel to other countries and visit all u exchange students too. Apart from scool, the only thing stopping me is money! hahaha of course! I have decided not to get a job while I'm doing yr12 so I can concentrate on my studies so there is no cash flow at the mo. It took me sooo long to get my braids out. In total i had about 7 different people helping me get them out at different times. We started taking them out on a Sunday night and did 4 hours worth with my friend Ev, my mum and I taking them out. we only got half way through o i went to school the next day with an afro on one side and braids on the other! My head was heavy on one side the whole time! hehe I got a few weird looks but u know me I do crazy things a lot so i didnt mind. It was quite a funny site! I'll write again soon!Miss u Canada!!! (soon I'll put p some pictures of my hair!) |
