Life beats you up
It doesn’t give up on you
When you think you gotten through the worst,
You soon realize,
It’s only begun
But you have to keep going,
You stand up
Dust yourself off,
And move on.
When you don’t want to,
You need to remember
You’re not the only one there
There’s someone to stand by
To worry over you
To comfort you
And so, when Life pushes you into the dirt
Get back up
And reach out for that hand
That wipes away your tears
And look for that smile
Under caring eyes
And keep going
And maybe one day
That hand will be joined with something else
Life.
