Thunder and Lightning
Last nights fun run was delayed more than an hour for lightning, and the run was shortened from 4 miles to 2.4 miles!  Overall it was a wet and successful run.  The plan and course were changed several times as we evaluated the weather, but ultimately we just waited for the storm to pass and the sun to come out.  There were twenty three runners last night, twenty high school students, one alumni, and two coaches.  We saw Jon Spradling and Ashley Wallace for the first time this summer, and it was a good run.  Numbers generally go up as the summer progresses, but the rain may have frightened a few away.  I expect a big jump next Tuesday at Murphy Elementry.
